Project Details

The team at Floor Land has completed a project for linen curtain, blackout curtain, and roller blind installation in the Port La Mer, Jumeirah 1st apartment. We got the order on 25 July 2026.

Free Visit & Consultation

We got a call from the customer on our helpline. She needed the window treatment for the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. For better advice, we went to her space. First, we carefully understood her requirements for each room. Then we took a visit to these spaces to analyze the interior and color scheme. After a thorough discussion with the customer, we selected

For the layered sheer and blackout curtains, the customer picked white for the sheer lining and black for the blackout drape. For the linen curtain in the living room, we recommended a beige color that perfectly contrasts with the furnishing there. To give the kitchen a high-end look, we picked a dark brown color.

Once the color was finalized, we took the measurements of each window with a laser measure.

Customization & Supply

The craftsmen at our workshop carefully prepared curtains and blinds as per the customer’s demand. They stitched the curtains with pencil pleat headers. The curtains and blinds were ready in just 3 hours. We took the curtains and installation tools and reached the site for the installation.

Installation

We started the installation work from the living room. Our installers first measured and marked bracket locations. They ensured perfect level alignment. Next, they drilled holes and inserted anchors. They fastened tracks or brackets tightly. Then we inserted hooks into the curtain header and spaced them uniformly. Lastly, our installers hung the panel and checked clearance.

Then we went to the kitchen to fit the roller blind. We held brackets against the window frame, used a level to align them, and marked screw holes with a pencil. They drilled pilot holes at the marked positions and inserted wall anchors suitable for the specific wall material.  Our fitters fastened the brackets tightly using screws. Then they inserted the pin end into its bracket first, then snapped the chain/control end into the opposite bracket. Lastly, they tested the blind by rolling it up and down, then screwing the cord safety tensioner clip into the wall.

For installing the layered curtains in the bedroom, we marked bracket positions 4–6 inches above and past the sides of the window frame using a level. Then our installers drilled pilot holes, inserted wall anchors, and securely screwed in the double brackets or tracks. They attached curtain hooks. First, they slid sheer panels onto the track closest to the window. Then they slid blackout panels onto the front track facing the room. Lastly, they opened and closed both curtain layers to check smooth movement, proper clearance, and even floor length.
