Blackout Curtains & Wall-to-Wall Carpet Installation at Discovery Gardens, Dubai

On 25th September 2026, the team at Floor Land completed a project of Blackout Curtains & Wall-to-Wall Carpet Installation at Discovery Gardens, Dubai. Our client wanted a home that felt calm, private, and cozy. The bedrooms let in too much morning sun, which made it hard to rest. The living room had bare tiles that felt cold and echoed with every step. We planned a simple upgrade that would solve both problems while keeping the look clean and modern. Our team handled everything from measuring to final fitting, and the project was finished on 25th September 2026.

We installed blackout custom curtains in both bedrooms of the apartment. For the main bedroom, the client chose a deep charcoal grey shade that gives the room a rich and restful feel. The second bedroom received a soft dove grey color to keep the space bright and fresh during the day.

Both sets of curtains are made from a triple-weave polyester fabric with a weight of around 280 GSM. This fabric blocks up to 99% of outside light and helps keep the rooms cooler in the Dubai heat. We used a wave-fold style for a smooth and even look across the full width of each window. The curtains run from ceiling to floor and glide easily on silent, ceiling-mounted aluminum tracks. A thermal backing was added to reduce heat and outside noise, so the bedrooms stay peaceful at any time of day.

In the living room, we fitted a luxury carpet in a warm sand beige tone. This neutral color matches the existing custom furniture and makes the space feel open and welcoming. The carpet is made from stain-resistant polypropylene with a cut-pile finish and a pile height of 10 mm. It feels soft underfoot and is easy to clean, which makes it ideal for daily family use.

Before laying the carpet, we placed an 8 mm felt underlay across the floor for extra comfort and better sound control. The carpet was stretched tightly and fixed with gripper strips along the edges for a neat, seamless finish. We also added aluminum threshold strips at the doorways to protect the edges and create a smooth transition between rooms.

The apartment now feels quieter, cooler, and much more comfortable. The bedrooms stay dark and relaxing, even during bright afternoons. The living room has a soft and inviting look that makes it the perfect spot to unwind. Our client was happy with the clean finish and the careful work of our team from start to end.
