Project Overview

The team at Floor Land completed the project of 2 Door Mats Delivery and Sisal Carpet Installation at Jebel Ali, Dubai apartment. First, we supplied two custom door mats with “Welcome” printed on them. One was for the entryway, and one was for the bedroom. Second, we installed a dark brown sisal carpet in the living room.

The job was not complex, but every item had a clear role. The mats needed to handle daily use at the doors. The carpet needed to bring warmth and texture to the main living space. We planned both parts together so the finished home felt consistent.

Built Around What the Client Wanted

We do not start a project with a fixed product in mind. We start with the customer. Before ordering anything, we sat down with the client to understand how they use their home, what look they wanted, and what mattered most to them.

The client asked for rubber mats, a simple “Welcome” message, and a sisal carpet in dark brown. Our job was to deliver exactly that and make sure each choice worked well in their space. Where it helped, we shared practical advice on care and placement. The client made the final decisions.

The Welcome Door Mats

The client wanted rubber for both Door Mats, and it suited their home well. In Dubai, sand and dust come in with every step. Rubber traps grit on the surface and can be shaken out or rinsed in minutes. Rubber also handles the local climate. It does not fade or crack easily in the heat. It stays flat and keeps its shape over time. The backing grips the floor, so the mats do not slide when someone walks in quickly.

The client wanted a simple message that greets people at the door. We imprinted “Welcome” on both mats and made sure the lettering was clear and easy to read while standing. The print is part of the custom mat, so it does not peel off with regular cleaning. The first mat went at the entryway. This is the busiest spot in the home and the first line of defense against outdoor dust. The second mat went in the bedroom. It keeps the bedroom floor cleaner and adds a personal touch to a private space.

Using the same material and design for both mats kept the look uniform. Both were delivered ready to use.

The Sisal Carpet Installation

The client chose sisal carpet for the living room. It is a strong natural fiber that handles foot traffic well. Its woven texture adds character without making the room feel busy. The client also chose the dark brown color. It hides everyday dust well, which matters in a city where fine sand finds its way indoors. It gives the room a warm, grounded feel and pairs easily with wood furniture and neutral walls.

Our Installation Process

  1. Measuring the room. We took exact measurements of the living room, noting corners, door clearances, and uneven wall edges.
  2. Checking the floor. Sisal needs a clean, dry, and level base. We inspected the subfloor and cleared away dust and debris. Small dips or bumps would show through the carpet later, so we fixed them first.
  3. Letting the carpet settle. Sisal reacts to moisture in the air, and Jebel Ali sits near the coast. We left the carpet in the room before fitting it. This let the fibers adjust and reduced the risk of shrinking or rippling later.
  4. Cutting and fitting. We cut the carpet on site and worked slowly around corners and door frames. Sisal frays if cut carelessly, so we took extra care at every edge.
  5. Securing the carpet. We fixed the carpet firmly in place, checked for loose spots, and smoothed it so it lay flat across the room.
  6. Final clean-up. We removed all offcuts and dust, then did a final walk-through with the client to check the finish together.

Care Advice We Shared

Sisal is durable, but it does not like water. We explained this clearly after installation and shared a few simple habits:

  • Vacuum the sisal carpet regularly to lift dust from the weave.
  • Blot spills right away with a dry cloth instead of scrubbing with water.
  • Shake out or rinse the rubber mats whenever sand builds up.

The Result

The home now has a clear flow from the front door to the living room. The rubber mats stop most of the dust at the doors. The dark brown sisal carpet gives the living room a warm, natural finish. Everything was delivered and installed on 29th September 2026, as planned, and the client was happy with how the pieces came together.

This project reflects how we work. We listen first, then deliver what the customer asks for, with the care and finish they expect.
