We completed the installation of layered curtains at Lime Garden, Dubai Hills Estate apartment on 2nd August 2026. The project involved combining two curtain layers: full-length Sapphire Blue blackout curtains with full-height white sheer curtains.
The client selected this combination to have flexibility between softer daylight filtering and stronger privacy and light control. The white sheer layer lets natural light in while keeping a lighter window appearance, while the Sapphire Blue blackout layer provides greater coverage when more privacy and light control are needed.
We used a ceiling-mounted curtain track with a wave/ripple-fold appearance. The floor-to-ceiling design gave the bedroom a continuous curtain finish while keeping both layers visually coordinated.
The client approached us with a requirement for curtains for the apartment bedroom. During the initial discussion, the main requirement was more than one level of light and privacy control, rather than relying on a single curtain layer.
We discussed layered curtains as a suitable configuration for this requirement, combining a sheer curtain with a blackout curtain. This gave the client the option to use the white sheer layer when softer daylight and privacy were preferred, or use the blackout layer when stronger light control was required.
We then moved to understanding the bedroom window arrangement, the available mounting area, preferred curtain appearance, and the overall configuration before arranging the site visit and measurements.
Our team visited the apartment to assess the bedroom and determine how to install the custom curtains. We measured the window opening and checked the available area for the ceiling-mounted curtain track.
During the consultation, we discussed the two curtain layers separately so the final combination would meet the client’s practical requirements and preferred appearance. The client selected Sapphire Blue for the blackout curtains and white for the sheer curtains, creating a clear contrast between the two layers.

On the installation day, our team prepared the bedroom area before starting the curtain installation. We positioned the ceiling-mounted track according to the planned curtain arrangement and kept it properly aligned across the window area.
After installing the track, we hung the white sheer and Sapphire Blue blackout curtains as separate layers. We then arranged the fabric along the track to establish the intended wave/ripple-fold appearance.
Once both layers were in place, we checked how the curtains moved along the track and made the necessary adjustments so they could open and close properly. We also checked the floor-to-ceiling drop to ensure the curtains maintained a consistent finished appearance.
The final stage involved reviewing the alignment, folds, curtain movement, and overall finish before completing the installation.
As an overall project feedback summary, the client was satisfied with how the two curtain layers came together in the bedroom. The contrast between the Sapphire Blue blackout curtains and white sheers provided the combination they had selected during the consultation.
