Sheer and Blackout Curtains Installation at Golden Mile 5, Palm Jumeirah – Dubai

The team at Floor Land completed the project of sheer and blackout curtains installation at Golden Mile 5, Palm Jumeirah – Dubai. 

We received a call from the customer on our official number. He was renovating his apartment and was looking for curtains for the bedroom and living room. We asked for his availability for the site visit. 

The very next day, we went for the site visit at the decided time. The customer wanted to cover the arched and fixed rectangular window of the living room. For the bedroom window, he wanted the curtains that offer light control, privacy, and aesthetic appeal. Our crew carefully analyzed the space and ambiance before providing any options. After a thorough discussion with the customer, we reached this point 

• Lightweight sheer panels for the two windows in the living room. For a finished look, we picked a wave header and ceiling-mounted track installation. 
• Double curtains (sheer and blackout) for the bedroom. For the sheer panel, we picked a wave fold header and a ceiling-mounted concealed track. For the blackout panel, we selected a double pinch pleat header and a ceiling-mounted curtain track with pleated hooks. 

We took measurements of each window very carefully with a digital meter. To minimize the chances of errors, we took measurements from 3 different points. 

We source fabrics from a well-known supplier in the UAE. Before customization, we shared the curtain mockups with the customer to get his approval. Once we got the go-ahead, our in-house team carefully designed every drape for complete customer satisfaction. 

We began the installation with the living room windows. To make opening and closing easier, our team installed two sheer panels on the large arched window instead of just one. For the fixed rectangular window, however, a single sheer panel was sufficient.

• Marked the ceiling to align the curtain tracks with the window layout.
• Installed heavy-duty ceiling tracks using secure wall plugs and screws.
• Checked the track level to achieve straight, even curtain movement.
• Fixed wave gliders and curtain hooks to the tracks before hanging the panels.
• Mounted the sheer panels with uniform spacing.
• Adjusted the wave spacing for consistent draping.
• Adjusted hook positions to ensure even floor clearance across all panels.
• Tested the track system to ensure smooth, silent operation.
• Performed final alignment and quality checks before project handover.

Next, we went to the bedroom to install double curtains.

• Installed a wide-spaced double ceiling-mounted aluminum track to support both sheer and blackout curtains.
• Hung the blackout curtains on the front track and the sheer curtains on the rear track for independent operation.
• Attached curtain hooks securely to ensure smooth, silent movement on both tracks.
• Adjusted the curtain panels to achieve uniform pleats, even spacing, and full window coverage.
• Tested both curtain layers to ensure effortless opening, closing, and proper stacking on each side.

Before leaving, we asked the customer to check each curtain’s functionality and finishing. He was happy and satisfied with the end results. 

• Measured each window very carefully and customized the drapes accordingly 
• Sheer curtains were installed at the living room window for diffused sunlight and moderate privacy. 
• Layered curtains were fitted at bedroom windows for maximum privacy. 
• We completed the delivery and installation work on the same day.
