For this apartment project, our team handled the site measurement, curtain customization, supply, and installation for the TV lounge and two bedrooms. The client wanted a curtain solution that would feel cohesive across the rooms while still offering practical control over daylight and privacy.
We selected a combination of Charcoal Sheer Curtains and Light Grey blackout Drapes. The lighter sheer layer keeps the rooms bright and open during the day, while the heavier outer curtains provide additional privacy and help reduce incoming light when required. The floor-to-ceiling treatment also worked well with the apartment’s modern interior and large windows.
The project covered the TV lounge and two bedrooms, with each curtain made according to the measurements and requirements of its individual window. Rather than using ready-made panels, we planned the curtains around the actual dimensions of the spaces so the finished installation would look even and well proportioned.

For the TV lounge, the large window required wider curtain coverage to frame the opening properly. We allowed enough fabric on both sides so the curtains could be drawn away from the window when the client wanted to enjoy the outside view. In the bedrooms, we followed the same overall color combination while adapting the curtain dimensions to suit each window.
We chose the light grey outer curtains to introduce contrast into the otherwise light interior. The charcoal sheers keep the combination from feeling too dark and allow the rooms to retain a soft, naturally lit appearance.
Before beginning the customization, our team carried out a site visit to inspect and measure all three areas. We checked the width and height of each window, the ceiling level, wall clearance, and the space available for the curtain tracks.
This step was important because the windows in the TV lounge and bedrooms were not treated as identical openings. We took individual measurements for each location rather than relying on a standard size. We also considered how far the curtains needed to extend beyond the windows so the panels would stack neatly when opened.
During the visit, we discussed the curtain colors, layering, and the level of privacy required in each room. We also considered how the curtains would work with the existing flooring, walls, and furniture. Once the measurements and specifications were confirmed, we moved forward with the curtain customization.
We customized the curtains according to the measurements taken during our site visit. The design uses two curtain layers: lightweight charcoal sheer curtains on the inner side and a heavier light grey outer curtain.
The sheer layer was selected to soften the strong daylight coming through the windows without completely blocking it. This makes it possible to keep the curtains drawn during the day while still maintaining a bright atmosphere. The outer layer adds another level of privacy and light control and can be closed when the room needs a more enclosed feel.
For the TV lounge, we installed the curtains across the large window area with a full-height finish. The ceiling-mounted track keeps the hardware visually discreet and allows the fabric to run cleanly from near the ceiling down to the floor. This also gives the window treatment a taller and more continuous appearance.
We followed the same approach in both bedrooms. Each set was installed according to its individual window measurements, with attention given to the curtain drop, panel alignment, and fullness. Once the fabric was hung, our installation team adjusted the folds and positioning so the curtains fell evenly and operated smoothly.
We also checked the movement of both layers after installation. The sheers and outer curtains needed to move independently without catching or interfering with one another. Final adjustments were made to the panel positions and folds to achieve a neat finish across all three spaces.
