On 23 August 2026, our flooring team completed a real wooden flooring delivery & installation project at Palm Jumeirah apartment. The customer wanted to replace the existing floor finish in the living room and bedroom with a darker wooden surface.
They chose a dark brown color, a glossy finish, and a herringbone pattern. These choices gave us a clear direction for the project. The main focus was to achieve a consistent herringbone layout while keeping the wood finish clean across both rooms.
We handled the wood flooring work ourselves. From preparing the rooms and organizing the materials to laying the wooden flooring and checking the completed surface, we managed the project through to completion. We completed the full work in two working days.
The customer wanted the flooring to have a strong visual presence rather than a simple straight-plank layout. The herringbone pattern was therefore selected as the main design feature.
The dark brown color gave the luxury flooring a deeper and warmer appearance. The glossy finish added a smooth surface with more light reflection, while the natural wood appearance kept the floor from looking overly uniform.
Because the herringbone pattern is formed through angled pieces, accurate positioning was important. Small alignment errors can become more noticeable as the pattern continues across a room. We planned the layout before starting the main installation to keep the pattern consistent.
The project covered two important areas of the apartment: the living room and bedroom. Before laying the new flooring, we inspected the areas and prepared the surfaces.
We paid attention to the condition and level of the existing surface. A properly prepared base helps the wooden flooring sit correctly and reduces the risk of visible unevenness in the finished floor.
We also considered the room edges, corners, and transition points before cutting the flooring. This allowed us to plan the fit more accurately, rather than making unnecessary adjustments during installation.
Our team kept the preparation focused on the requirements of the two rooms so we could maintain the project schedule.
Once the flooring was ready, we arranged its delivery to the Palm Jumeirah apartment and organized the materials before beginning the fitting work.
Having the correct material available at the start was important because the flooring needed to follow one continuous design direction. We checked the materials and organized the work area before moving into the main installation stage.
This also helped our team maintain a steady workflow across both rooms and complete the project within the agreed working period.
The main part of the project was laying the wooden flooring in the selected herringbone arrangement.
We started by establishing the layout and then worked across the floor while maintaining the direction of the pattern. Each section needed to meet the next section accurately to keep the repeated V-shaped design consistent.
We took extra care around the perimeter of the rooms. The flooring had to follow the room shape while maintaining the visual direction of the herringbone pattern. Corners and edges were therefore measured and cut according to the actual space.
The same level of attention was maintained in the bedroom so that the flooring design looked consistent with the living room.
We selected the dark brown color to create a deeper wood appearance throughout the apartment. Since the customer also wanted a glossy finish, we paid attention to the final surface appearance during our quality checks.
A glossy wooden floor can show marks, uneven sections, and installation inconsistencies more clearly under direct light. We therefore inspected the completed surface from different points in each room.
Our final checks focused on the wood’s appearance, pattern consistency, edges, and overall finish. This allowed us to address any visible issues before completing the project.
We completed the wooden flooring project within two working days.
Our team coordinated the preparation, flooring delivery, fitting, pattern alignment, finishing work, and final inspection as part of the same project. Keeping these stages organized helped us maintain the agreed schedule without compromising the attention given to the herringbone layout.
Once the work was completed, we carried out a final inspection of both the living room and bedroom. We checked the flooring pattern, edges, surface appearance, and overall finish before handing the completed spaces back to the customer.
The completed flooring gave both rooms a distinct dark wood appearance. The glossy finish added surface reflection, while the herringbone arrangement created a more detailed floor pattern than a conventional straight layout.
The living room and bedroom now have a consistent flooring style based on the customer’s chosen dark brown color and glossy finish.
For our team, this project required careful layout planning, accurate fitting, and close attention to the final appearance. Completing the work in two working days also required each stage to remain organized from the initial preparation through to the final inspection.
