Project Details

On 15 August 2026, our team completed an apartment painting and sisal carpet installation project at Al Bashara, Dubai. The two-bedroom apartment included a living room and kitchen, with the customer selecting Sage and Olive Green for the walls and dark brown cut-pile sisal carpet for the flooring.

The project involved more than applying the same paint throughout the apartment. We assessed each space’s requirements and selected suitable paint types and finishes for the bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. We measured, cut, and installed the carpet to create a clean transition between the newly painted interiors and the existing apartment layout.

Site Visit and Consultation

We started with a site visit to assess the apartment before applying any materials. Our team inspected the walls for cracks, uneven areas, old marks, and other surface conditions that could affect the final paint finish.

We also reviewed the rooms individually because the kitchen has different practical requirements from bedrooms and living spaces. We measured the carpeted areas at the same stage, allowing us to determine the required carpet quantities and plan the installation accurately.

During the consultation, we also considered how the Sage and Olive Green shades would work with the dark brown sisal rather than treating the wall and flooring selections as separate elements.

Paint Selection for Different Spaces

The apartment used Sage and Olive Green as its primary wall colors, but the paint type and finish varied by room function.

The living room used Sage Green low-sheen eggshell interior paint, providing a refined finish that was practical for a frequently used space. The first bedroom used Sage Green washable matte emulsion, giving the room a softer, low-reflection appearance suited to a private resting area.

The second bedroom featured Olive Green washable eggshell paint, adding more depth while keeping day-to-day maintenance easier. For the kitchen, we used washable acrylic kitchen paint in a satin finish, selected for its smoother and more practical surface in an area exposed to moisture, cooking activity, and regular cleaning.

We finished the ceilings separately with matte white ceiling paint to maintain a clean transition above the colored walls.

Wall Preparation and Painting

Before applying the new colors, we prepared the wall surfaces to provide a suitable base for the paint. We addressed minor imperfections and cleaned and prepared the surfaces before applying the finishing coats.

Our team worked room by room to maintain consistent coverage and clean edges. Particular care was taken with the Olive Green areas because darker colors can make uneven preparation more noticeable.

After the main coats were completed, we checked the walls under the available lighting and carried out necessary touch-ups around corners, edges, and other areas requiring additional attention.

Sisal Carpet Measurement and Cutting

The flooring element of the project used dark brown cut-pile sisal carpet. Before installation, we confirmed the measurements of the designated rooms and planned the cuts according to the apartment’s layout.

We chose the dark brown shade to complement the green paint tones while adding a warmer, natural element to the interior. The cut-pile construction also gave the carpet a more structured surface and comfortable underfoot feel.

Accurate measurements were important at this stage because poorly planned cuts can create unnecessary joins or inconsistent positioning. Our team therefore checked dimensions before cutting and prepared each piece for installation.

Professional Carpet Installation

Once the carpet pieces were prepared, we positioned them carefully within the designated areas. The installation focused on accurate alignment, neat edges, and secure placement.

We paid particular attention to room boundaries and transitions so the carpet sat cleanly within the existing spaces. After installation, we checked the surface for visible irregularities, loose areas, and alignment issues before the final inspection.

Final Inspection and Handover

With both services completed, we carried out a final inspection of the apartment. We checked the walls for consistent color coverage, clean finishing, and visible imperfections, and inspected the carpet for proper positioning and neat edges.

The completed apartment brought together two green wall tones with dark brown sisal flooring, creating a coordinated interior without relying on one paint specification for every room. Using different paint finishes for each space also ensured the decorative result was supported by practical material choices.
