Some projects start with a mood board, but this one started with a bedsheet pinned over a window. Our project of Roman Blinds delivery & installation in Arabian Ranches, Dubai began on 3rd October 2026. A young family had recently moved into their three-bedroom apartment and wanted the bedrooms to feel complete. They asked for a clean, tailored look that felt warmer than roller blinds and lighter than heavy curtains.
Each bedroom had a different purpose, so one style would not suit all three. The parents wanted the master bedroom dark enough to block the early morning sun. Their six-year-old’s room needed custom blinds that were safe, durable, and easy to clean. The guest room, used mostly by visiting grandparents, needed privacy and a soft, welcoming feel.
Our consultant spent about ninety minutes in the apartment on the first day. Along with width and height, we measured the depth of every window recess. Roman blinds need enough depth for the folds to stack without pressing against the glass. We also noted air-conditioning vents and the direction of sunlight in each room.
The master bedroom had one window just over 2.1 meters wide. A single blind that size would be heavy to lift and bulky when raised. We recommended two matching blinds that meet neatly in the center instead. The family reviewed fabric samples at their own windows, since Dubai’s strong sun can change how colors look. They approved the final choices on 5th October.
The couple chose a linen-cotton blend in a warm sand shade that suits their walnut bed frame. We made the blinds in the classic flat-fold style for a crisp, hotel-like finish. A thermal blackout lining blocks morning light and reduces afternoon heat through the glass. To stop light leaking around the edges, we mounted them outside the recess. Both blinds run on a smooth chain with wall-fixed safety tensioners.
The guest room features a dove grey woven fabric with a gentle slub texture. We made it in a relaxed Roman style, with a soft curve along the lower edge. This suits the room’s light oak furniture and patterned rug. A privacy lining keeps the room screened at night while letting in a gentle glow by day.
We made all six blinds to measure in our workroom. We cut, lined, stitched, and fitted each panel with aluminum battens so the folds sit evenly. Before packing, we tested each blind on a frame to ensure smooth operation and straight folds. We delivered the blinds on 13th October 2026, labeled by room and window position.
Our two-person team arrived at 9:30 a.m. and laid dust sheets under each window. They used dust-extraction attachments while drilling, which matters in a freshly furnished home. The team started in the children’s room, then moved to the guest room and finished in the master bedroom. The team leveled and tested every blind through several full cycles. The full installation took about four and a half hours.
Before leaving, the installers showed the parents how each mechanism works. We advised vacuuming the blinds every two weeks with a soft brush attachment, as dust builds up quickly in Dubai. We also explained that lined Roman blinds should never be machine-washed.
All three bedrooms now feel finished and comfortable. The master bedroom stays dark in the morning and cooler in the afternoon. The children’s room is bright, safe and easy to maintain, while the guest room feels warm and welcoming. From the first visit to the final adjustment, the project took just ten days.
